NBGI Private Equity was formed in 2000 to invest in established small to medium-sized businesses across the UK. This sector is the backbone of the economy but, as the marketplace has matured, it has become less well served by many private equity providers.

Since our first fund of Euros 100million was launched in June 2000 we have rapidly established a strong reputation in the private equity market, demonstrating the success of our investment strategy through one of the strongest performances to date of any buyout fund in the UK lower mid-market. Our second fund of £100million is now actively investing.

Our investment team is deliberately top-heavy and has managerial experience in industry as well as extensive experience in private equity. As a consequence we have a commercial approach, focusing on the key business issues, to ensure a rapid response to investment opportunities and an efficient process through to completion. It also helps us to work effectively with our management teams to assist in shareholder value creation.
