Richard Babington
Richard has a particular interest in pursuing transactions in the Food, Manufacturing and Industrial sectors and is a Board Director of investee company Pasta King.
Richard is a graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford where he read Mathematics.

Joseph Bergin
Prior to joining NBGI Private Equity, Joseph had 13 years private equity experience, most recently with Octopus, focussing on the North of England. He spent 10 years with 3i, rising to Director in the European buyout team based in Munich and Frankfurt. Previously, Joseph worked for ICI and Astra Zeneca for 6 years in a commercial role.
Joseph has an MBA and MSc in Business Management from The London Business School and is a graduate in History/Politics from the University of Exeter.

Belinda Berkeley
Belinda joined NBGI Private Equity in May 2007 with 6 years experience in advising on private equity and corporate finance transactions. She previously worked at BDO Stoy Hayward where she gained experience working on a variety of private equity transactions, particularly within the retail sector.
Belinda is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a graduate in Psychology from Newcastle University.

Lawrence Dean
Lawrence joined NBGI Private Equity in May 2006, bringing with him nine years of corporate finance and hands-on business experience. He started his career in corporate finance at SBC Warburg (now UBS), where he advised on a number of high profile deals in the industrial and support services sectors. He then worked in business development for Travelselect, a Venture Capital backed travel business that was successfully sold to Lastminute.com. He joined the investment banking side of the NBGI group in 2002.
Lawrence graduated in Economics from Durham University.

Nick Gibbons
Nick comes to NBGI Private Equity with eight years experience in industry and management consulting. Prior to joining, he worked for Centrica’s British Gas Home Service and Energy businesses in finance, commercial and corporate development positions. Previously, he worked for LEK Consulting in London and Los Angeles, advising on strategy and M&A across a range of industries.
Nick has an MBA from the Wharton School and is a graduate of Hertford College, Oxford where he read PPE.

Adam Lewis
Adam joined the team in April 2008. He previously worked for Deloitte MCS as a Strategy Consultant, including working on commercial due diligence assignments for private equity clients. He completed six month university placements with both PriceWaterhouseCoopers (Banking and Capital Markets) and Loyalty Management (Nectar Card).
Adam graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration and holds a CIMA foundation level qualification.

Richard Morley
Richard has been a director of NBGI Private Equity since 2001, when he joined from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Corporate Finance Partner. He has extensive transactional and commercial experience across a broad range of sectors. Richard had previously worked for a number of years in industry as Finance Director of Monarch. He has also worked for Arthur Andersen in both the UK and the US.
Richard is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a graduate in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

Miles Otway
Miles joined the UK Team in February 2008. He previously worked in strategic consultancy with The Parthenon Group, focusing on commercial due diligence and strategic advisory for private equity and corporate clients. Prior to this he undertook internships with The Parthenon Group and BP Olefins and Derivatives (now Innovene).
Miles is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge with BA Hons in both History and Management Studies.

Mark Owen
Mark has considerable experience in both private equity and industry. He was a founder director of NBGI Private Equity in 2000 following six years with Granville Private Equity Managers. Prior to that he worked for five years with Schroders Corporate Finance running their private transactions team. He has also spent ten years in industry, in the US with Combustion Engineering, a diversified engineering and services group, and Champion International, a paper and building products manufacturer.
Mark graduated from Selwyn College, Cambridge and has an MBA from Wharton.

Pavlos Stellakis
Chairman & CEO, Pavlos has broad corporate experience in both the UK and Continental Europe, with over twenty five years involvement in Investment Banking, Private Equity and Consultancy and having been on the Boards of several private and public companies, including main Board positions at NBG and Hill Samuel Bank where he was Head of European Investment Banking. Pavlos is the Founder of NBGI, a London and New York based investment banking goup where he is President & CEO.
Pavlos is an Economics graduate and holds a masters degree in Applied Economics from Oxford University.
